Blaavand is situated in the land of farytale. The largest recreative area in Denmark with over 40 km white sandy beach.
Blåvand is widely known for its child friendly sandy beach. No cars are allowed on the beach and the waves quietly roll against the beach. Here is no strong current and the shallow water makes the beach child friendly. The special conditions is due to the reef “ Horns Reef “ which stretches 40 kilometres into the North sea and thereby almost form a lagoon on the south side.
Blåvand North beach you will see wide-spreading sand dunes. The sand dunes form ideal hollows where you will find shelter for the wind. Blåvand North beach and “ Horns Reef “ are known as one of the best places of finding the beautiful amber.
