Hvidbjerg Strand is a disability friendly camping.
We recommend that you call us so that we can have a chat about your wants and needs, and what is possible with the facilities there are available at Hvidbjerg Strand.
Accessibility for wheelchair users:
Roads and paths:
Almost all of our roads and many paths at the camp site are covered with tiles and can be used by wheelchair users. There is also a path up the dune and down the beach - almost to the water's edge. The path is made of wood.
Toilet facilities: In most buildings there are toilet and shower facilities that are suitable for wheelchair users.
Restaurant: There are in most cases fine with accessibility.
Waterpark: Access to the waterpark is not possible through the normal locker room. We must go through the restaurant and through a backdoor. It is possible - many are using this way, but it is not optimal in relation to being able to shower before and after using the water park. There are no lifts in the water park and we do not have wheelchairs that are specially suited for use in swimming pools. It is not possible to use the cave and the 1st floor in the pool area.
Wellness: It is possible to get into the spa for wheelchair users. But there are limits to how many facilities you can use. Hot tub on the ground level can hardly be used. The spa with music may be used. Infrared sauna, fire sauna, and mineral sauna can easily be used. Wheelchair users can not use the normal entry but have to use the entry, which the pool attendant use to the reception.
Game Zone: There is no elevator.
Fishing Lake: There is no stone-paved paths around the lake.
